Business Possibility Strategy

Consulting Independence & Service Disclosure

Status: Draft for review; not legal advice.

Golden Egg Business Systems (GEBS) provides Business Possibility Strategy consultations as a strategic advisory service intended to help clients identify, evaluate, and better understand potential business opportunities, challenges, needs, improvements, and possible courses of action.

During a consultation, a Business Possibility Strategist™ may identify or recommend products, professional services, technologies, systems, marketing activities, operational improvements, vendors, contractors, specialists, or other resources that the strategist believes may be relevant to the client's circumstances.

Some recommendations may involve services that Golden Egg Business Systems also offers.

Independence of strategic recommendations

The fact that GEBS provides a service that coincides with a strategist's recommendation does not obligate the client to purchase that service from GEBS.

Business Possibility Strategy consultations are separate from the sale and delivery of other GEBS services. Recommendations should be based on the client's circumstances, objectives, available information, potential opportunities, and business needs—not on whether GEBS can subsequently sell the recommended service.

A recommendation should not be interpreted as a requirement or condition that GEBS perform the recommended work.

Client choice

Clients retain complete discretion regarding how they respond to recommendations. A client may:

  • Implement a recommendation independently.
  • Use internal employees or resources.
  • Hire another consultant, contractor, agency, vendor, or service provider.
  • Request proposals from multiple providers.
  • Take no action.
  • Postpone implementation.
  • Request GEBS to provide the service when GEBS offers it and both parties separately agree to the engagement.

There is no requirement or obligation to select GEBS merely because GEBS identified or recommended the need.

GEBS as a potential service provider

When a recommendation involves a service that GEBS provides, GEBS may inform the client that the service is available through the company. This makes the client aware of an available implementation option; it does not transform the strategic recommendation into a sales requirement. Any decision to retain GEBS must be made separately by the client.

Separate engagements

The Business Possibility Strategy consultation and any subsequent GEBS implementation service are separate engagements. Purchasing a consultation does not require purchasing additional GEBS services. Declining additional GEBS services does not invalidate the consultation or recommendations.

If a client later chooses GEBS to perform recommended work, the implementation service may have its own scope of work, pricing, deliverables, schedule, terms, and agreement or authorization.

No preferential requirement

A strategist should not recommend a GEBS service solely because GEBS offers it. When appropriate, the strategist may identify alternative implementation approaches, outside specialists, vendors, or providers. GEBS does not represent that it will necessarily be the best provider for every recommendation.

No guarantees

Business Possibility Strategy recommendations represent strategic analysis and professional judgment based on information reasonably available at the time. Recommendations do not guarantee revenue, profit, growth, customer acquisition, market acceptance, financing, return on investment, business survival, or any particular commercial result. Clients remain responsible for evaluating and deciding whether and how to implement recommendations.

Professional-service limitations

Unless expressly provided under a separate qualified professional engagement, Business Possibility Strategy services should not be interpreted as legal, tax, accounting, investment, securities, medical, engineering, or other regulated professional advice. Clients should consult appropriately licensed or qualified professionals when a recommendation involves matters requiring specialized professional advice.

Core GEBS principle

Golden Egg Business Systems separates strategic diagnosis from implementation choice.

We may identify the opportunity. We may be capable of helping implement it. The decision of who implements it belongs to the client.
